If you’re planning a trip around the Netherlands, Den Haag should definitely be one of your stops. Where to stay in Den Haag? Stayokay Den Haag Hostel is an awesome place to stay during your visit to the third-largest city in the Netherlands.
I visited Den Haag for three days and stay at Stayokay Den Haag for two nights during my 10-day trip around the Netherlands. I really liked the city a lot, there are many free things to do in Den Haag and the place is simply pretty and relaxed.
So, where to stay in Den Haag – Stayokay Den Haag Hostel review, or why I recommend staying in this hostel.

Location
Stayokay Den Haag’s location is great. The center of the city is within 5 minutes walking distance, Den Haag Centraal is just around the corner and Den Haag Centraal railways station is also 10 minutes walking away.
So, the location is very convenient. There is also a tram stop next to the hostel if you want to get around by public transport but Den Haag is very walkable, so I would recommend you to get around on foot. Also, as you can imagine the public transport in Den Haag is not very budget-friendly.
Close to the hostel, there are shops and places to eat.
The hostel itself is situated in a small, quiet street and on the other side is right next to a canal. There is a garden there, which is looking right at it. Nice place and view for your morning coffee!!
Rooms
The room that I was staying in had it’s own private shower and toilet. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean all the time.
Another plus was that the room was also watching the canal. I love views, so this is always a plus for me.
Bar & breakfast room
I will start with the breakfast. The breakfast was RICH! Really, there was so much food.
For breakfast, there was coffee, tea, and juices, of course, bread, yogurt, muesli, fruits, everything that you can make a sandwich with. What did I eat? Everything! And it really kept me full for five, six hours.
The breakfast room has big windows also watching the canal and you can also have your breakfast outside.
So, if you’re wondering where to stay in Den Haag and at least have some decent breakfast, this is the place.

The bar
In the evenings you can also get something for dinner from the bar, like pizza for example.
There are many young people staying at the hostel, so the bar is getting busy in the evenings. There is also a billiard table there.
The staff
The staff at Stayokay Den Haag was very kind and polite.
Other features
Excellent Wi-Fi Connection.
Luggage room, where you can leave your stuff before/after check-in/check-out.
Good to know
Towels are not included but you can purchase from the hostel. You will have to make your own bed.
