Здравей, Hello, Bonjour, Ciao, Hallo, Hola, Namaste, Ola, Здравствуй, Konnichiwa, Merhaba, Marhaba, Ni Hau, Shalom.. and welcome to Owl Over The World.
Nice to e-meet you,
Hi, my name is Bilyana, I am the girl behind the screen, the author of this blog and the person who wants to inspire you to TRAVEL MORE & WORRY LESS.
I didn’t quit my job or left everything to travel the world, although I often wish to do the second. Ever since I was little, I always dreamed of traveling the world and now when I’m younger my dreams are even bigger than this. But my dad is always telling me that dreams are free, so I keep on dreaming 24/7 and I keep on chasing those dreams. Nowadays, however, I call them goals.
I was born and raised and I am currently living in a small town on the outskirts of Sofia. I love nature and outdoor activities and I’m addicted to raspberry wine.
The only travels from my childhood and teenage years were family vacations in Bulgaria at our beautiful Black Sea coast and camping at some of the hidden from the tourists’ Bulgarian dams.
However, my feet have been always itching me and it was just a matter of time for me to get out of my comfort zone and as some people say to ”hit the road”.
For the first trips that I take, I was always looking for friends to join me but even though I know they wanted to, they haven’t got the chance to do so. So, I told myself that if I’m waiting for someone so I can go somewhere, I would probably never will. So far I’ve been traveling mostly alone and to be honest, I love it.
How did I decide to start this blog?
Actually, I wanted to start a blog a long time ago but for some reason, I just haven’t. Then one day I just decided that I’m going to start a travel blog where I can share my travel tips, stories and my experience with you because I just love traveling and because why not?!
I’m really happy that I finally did it because I really love doing it and I also love the idea to be able to inspire you to get out of your comfort zone, to travel more & worry less and to follow your dreams. Hopefully, I have at least a bit of success in this.
What about the name of the blog?
How came the idea of OWLovertheworld? Well, I have some weird obsession with owls and when I was thinking about a name for my blog I wanted to be something that has something to do with me and that would be something more unique. I’m not sure that I came up with the best idea, but I like it.
I was thinking about different names and then suddenly this name just came into my mind and I loved the game of words. If you pay a little attention to the name, you can also notice the word ”love” in it -owLOVErtheworld, which is like hidden there. I actually noticed this afterward but it suits it just perfectly, love of traveling, after all, the reason for starting this blog in the first place.
