Wanderlust Inspiration, 23 Places That You Need to Add to Your Bucket List
Rainbow Mountain, Peru
Peru has always been my number one dream destination. Always, from where I was 12 or something like that. Machu Picchu was and still is one of the places I want to visit the most. But I also always looking for new places that I can visit in Peru and when I found out about Rainbow Mountain, I was blown away.

The Rainbow Mountain in China is one of the country’s best-kept secrets.

Kamchatka, Russia
In the Far East parts of Russia, is the Kamchatka Peninsula. Volcanoes, bears, and endless adventure opportunities.
Shimshal Lake, Pakistan
I don’t know about you, but for me, all of the countries ending with ”stan” are high on my bucket list. Often when I tell someone that I want to visit Pakistan people don’t get it. But how could I not want to?
Kerian Canyon, Iran
The same story with Iran, as with Pakistan.

Greenland
Like I’ve already mentioned, I’m dying to go to Iceland. Iceland, though, especially lately became one of the most popular destinations and everyone goes there (and there is a reason for that, of course, it’s amazing). But I don’t see anyone going to Greenland. And why not? If you haven’t done it already, then now is the time to add Greenland to your bucket list.
Pamukkale, Turkey
Pamukkale also is gaining lots of popularity lately, but I just couldn’t resist putting it in this wanderlust inspiration list. This place definitely needs to be on your bucket list.
Madagascar
Baobab trees, stunning beaches, and lemurs. What else can you ask for? Madagascar should definitely be on your African bucket list of places to visit!
Heavenly Spray Waterfall, Bulgaria
Of course that Bulgaria is on that list. I would always repeat, again, and again, that Bulgaria is a wonderful country. Amazing nature, friendly people, delicious food. If you haven’t include Bulgaria on your bucket list here are 7 reasons to do it.
The Heavenly Spray Waterfall (Raiskoto Pruskalo in Bulgarian) is the highest waterfall in Bulgaria and the Balkans – 124.5 meters. The waterfall is situated in the beautiful Stara Planina, in the heart of Bulgaria.
Atlantic Road, Norway
Norway, you are incredible. Wait for me, I’m coming! (soon hopefully)
Las Coloradas aka The Pink Lagoon, Mexico
Where the pink waters meet the white sand. Don’t believe this is real? Actually, the reason for its coloring is a tiny marine microorganism that contains beta-carotene. Nothing extraordinary.
Baikal Lake, Russia
Baikal is the deepest lake in the world. It’s located in the southern part of East Siberia.
Marble Caves, Chile
Except for Peru, as I mentioned above, the whole of South America is in my dreams. You probably know about all the amazing places, like the Atacama desert and Torres del Paine in Chile. But if you haven’t heard about The Marble Caves then you can thank me by taking me there.
Grand Prismatic Spring, Yellowstone National Park, USA
I can’t be sure that this place really exists. Look at it. It’s like out of this world.
Darvaza Gas Crater, Turkmenistan
The Crater is also known as the ”door to Hell” (suits him well). It was introduced to me a couple of years ago by my brother who is dying to go there as well.
Danakil Depression, Ethiopia
Similar to the Darvaza Gas Crater, the Danakil Depression is called ”the getaway to Hell” or ”Hell on Earth”. Well, if this is Hell, then I don’t think that Hell is a bad place to be.
Am I the only one wanting to go to ”Hell”?
Lake Natron, Tanzania
There are stories about the lake, that it turns animals into stones.
Orda Cave, Russia
Giant Russia has so many secrets. The Orda Cave is another one of them.
The cave is situated underneath the Ural Mountains. Is also one of the longest and largest underwater caves in the world. Perfect wanderlust inspiration for divers, right?
Cano Cristales River, Colombia
The Cano Cristales River is also known as the river of five colors, liquid rainbow, and the river that runs away from paradise.
Sea of starts Vaadhoo, Maldives
As a total stargazing lover, I couldn’t miss adding the sea of stars to the list.
The eye of Africa, Mauritania
Someone, please take me to Africa now!
And my number 1,
Space

Some of these places have been on my bucket list for a long time. Some of them, I recently discovered and add them as well.

Such a great round-up of fab places to visit. I have seen a few, but most are new to me or already on my own list. I love the look of the grand prismatic spring. Wonderful
A lot of these places are on my bucketlist! But I certainly added a few from your post. My Peruvian friend told me the mountains are not as nice in real life, more brown and yellow. Is that true?
Unfortunately, I haven’t been there yet and I don’t know but I would love to check myself 😀
The more you travel the more you realise how much of the world you still have to see. This is a good example of that. So many amazing places here. Would be great to be able to get to at least some of them one day.
You are absolutely right. We are going to new places more and more to realize that we still haven’t seen anything. The world is huge and there are millions of places worth visiting, one life is not enough.
Madagascar is super high on my bucket list, especially now that tourism is developing there a bit more. It’s a place that combines unique wildlife found no where else on earth with diving.
I had heard of nearly all of these, but I didn’t know that China also has rainbow mountains.
OMG I want to go to all of them! I was just in the Maldives and am sad that I missed the Sea of Stars. It just looks incredible! Thanks and anywhere in Africa is on my list – I spent three months there last year and the continent has my heart.
Each of these places is a miracle of nature. Unbelievably stunning. Norway’s Atlantic Road seems to be the only manmade wonder out of all these.
These places are awesome! I am happy that I had a chance to read your post. It is interesting to know that there are so many other destinations that travelers need to visit. I would love to visit Antarctica because of the wildlife and mountains. I am also interested in eating some of the local cuisine there. Norway is also on my list because of the beautiful scenery.
This is such an amazing list of places to visit. It is fascinating to see, how many incredible places are out there to visit. I put a few of them on my bucket list.
Wow, you have gathered some amazing places here! I have been to a couple of these and all the other 21 are def on my wishing list! Thanks for sharing it 😉
I love articles like this. They always, as intended, stir the wanderlust in me. That photograph from Antarctica is insane.
The Orda Cave is magnificent and I really hope to cross it off my bucket list soon. Do you have any tips for visiting it?
